Celebrities who emerge as teen idols rarely stay that way. It’s one of the immutable laws of celebrity nature. They get older, their fans get older, and generally, everyone eventually moves on.
That, however, has not been the case for Jordan Knight, who began his run as a heartthrob way back in 1986 and is showing no signs of slowing down. Whether performing as part of the New Kids On The Block, NKOTBSB, or as a solo artist, Jordan Knight remains culturally relevant to this day not just because he’s a handsome devil or because his falsetto instantly causes listeners’ knees to weaken, but because he continues to record songs that resonate with audiences of all ages.
Jordan popped by our offices here in Times Square not too long ago while on a publicity tour for his new solo album, Unfinished. We asked him to be the latest artist to participate in our ongoing Music Seen feature, and he kindly obliged. Enjoy!—Mark Graham

Yesterday we posted the first installment of Jordan Knight‘s Ask Me Anything answers. Today, we’ve got even more answers to your questions for the NKOTBSB singer (whose third solo album just came out on May 31) Above, Knight tells us what superpower he’d want, which Backstreet Boy he’d switch places with, and more. (For the record, we at the VH1 Blog endorse his answer to what three things he can’t live without.)
Thanks for the overwhelming response! We asked as many of your questions as we could. Stay tuned for our next installment of Ask Me Anything!
Two weeks ago, we put out a call for questions for Jordan Knight for our Ask Me Anything feature, and we asked as many of your questions as we could—so many that we had to split the responses into two videos! Above, Knight responds to questions about smooshing, underwear, those amazing 1990 American Music Awards jackets, and more. Stay tuned tomorrow for part two!

In news that ought to set your nostalgic heart racing, Jordan Knight, lead singer of the New Kids On The Block, will be swinging by our Times Square offices next week. As you’ve no doubt heard, the NKOTB and the Backstreet Boys just embarked on a massive, North American tour they’ve dubbed NKOTBSB that will see them play to thousands of screaming fans this summer. Well, during a short break from this tour, Jordan has kindly agreed to take some time next Tuesday, May 31 —the same day that his new solo album, Unfinished, hits stores— to answer questions from submitted by his fans. Even better? He’s agreed to answer ANYTHING!
Yes, that’s right, you can Ask Jordan Knight Anything! Wondering if he eats his PB&J sandwiches with the crusts on or off? You should ask! Curious as to what he wears to sleep? You should ask! Intrigued by his thoughts on whether or not cutting government spending will resuscitate our country’s economy, thereby boosting our Gross Domestic Product? You can (and should) ask!
So, how do you ask? Well, there’s a few ways. You can leave a comment below, or you can tweet @vh1 with the hashtag #askmeanything. We’ll compile as many questions as we receive and do our best on Tuesday to get Jordan to answer them all. Remember, you can Ask Jordan Knight Anything, so make your questions as crazy or funny as you possible. The only limit is your imagination!
Next Tuesday, we’re dropping the New Kids on the Block‘s “2 In The Morning” music video, and we wanted you get psyched a bit. So here’s a “making-of” clip that finds the guys explaining what went into the shoot. It’s funny, they booked a glorious mansion for location, but wound up doing a fair amount of green screen action that was filled in after the shoot. Check it out: You’ll find out that there’s a personal twist to the tale, and you’ll be reminded that’s it’s one of the best songs on NKOTB’s latest disc.

Watch the guys discuss their favorite artists and videos

It’s been a wild autumn here a VH1.com for New Kids fans. We’ve been searching for four zealots who loved them some NKOTB, and yep, after sifting through loads of pictures and reading loads of notes, we found them all. The last winner is Blair Braman. She’ll be heading to a performance and hanging with Jon, Jordan, Donnie, Joey, and Danny during a meet ‘n’ greet session. Here’s Blair’s note. Obviously she’s come full circle.
“I recently went to a concert in Cleveland and just about got the beat down for my poster I made. I tried so hard for Donnie to see it. I was asked many times by girls bigger than me to take it down! I tried and tried. At one point, people even pulled me down to their row so I could wave it around. And also tried to get their attention. Please help me meet NKOTB! Besides, Donnie did say he wanted to meet all the girls he sang Cover Girl to. Yes, the little girl in the picture is me when I was 7!”

The latest winner in our New Kids on the Block “Ultimate Fan” contest has been named. She’s Amber Neumann, and yep, she once went way out of her way to celebrate her love of the world’s greatest boy band. She’ll be attending an NKOTB gig, as well as enjoying a meet and greet session with the guys. Here’s her story and her pictures.
I HAD NEW KIDS HAIR!! Not literally theirs! I didn’t go drain diving for follicles. THAT would be crazy!
In the era of long hair and big bangs, I cut my long hair into a Joey curl, shaved in back, complete with rattail! Did I get teased?! As a crazed NKOTB fan…so worth it!

We were looking for an ultimate fan in our our ongoing New Kids on the Block contest, and we found the first of a few choices we’ll be making this autumn. Kimberly Medina of Florida will be seeing the guys in concert this weekend in Boston. Here’s the text (and the picture) she sent in to earn herself, and four friends, the tickets.
“My friend and I had a column in the school paper, “New Kids Korner.” We were Seniors and knew that was NOT cool. So we had pen names. I was Ashley Rashleigh. (Rashleigh is Jonathan’s middle name) She was Megan McCloud (Puff McCloud, Danny’s nickname. We were too clueless to realize he probably got the name because of all of the weed he smoked.) If anything, we should win just because of the torture we endured when word got out on the last day of Senior year. :)”
Nice, right? Lots of dedication there. Diehard fans need to know three things about the New Kids.
1. Their Behind the Music Special airs this Sunday night, September 28, at 8 pm ET.
2. During the show, the band will cut into the action from their concert stage in Boston, performing a few tunes live.
3. The Ultimate Fan contest continues. Send us your stories and photos for a chance to win a shot at seeing the guys onstage this fall.
