- Victoria Beckham is rumored to be joining the Pussycat Dolls for a few performances. Going from the Spice Girls to PCD is like going from working the BunnyRanch to Hunt’s Point. Tragic. [Dlisted]
- Meg White’s rep denies those sex-tape allegations chalking them up to “a very twisted sense of humor.” I’m more concerned about people’s eyesight than their sense of humor, but hey, that’s me. [TMZ.com]
- The filming for the Sex and the City movie is underway. If we’re lucky, they’ll hold the sex. [CityRag]
- Lil Wayne adopts a Gollum-like stance for the cover of Vibe. He’s never looked more presssshhhhhusssssss! [Crunk + Disorderly]
- Sienna Miller is upset that nude photos of her have leaked. So is my stomach. [Seriously? OMG! WTF?]

Jack White is set to play Elvis in a new music-biopic spoof film called Walk Hard, the story of a singer (John C. Reilly) who overcomes the odds to become a legend. The film is the brainchild of Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, The 40 Year Old Virgin), so it’ll be funnier than Jack’s last two times out at the box office — Cold Mountain and Coffee & Cigarettes, two movies that aren’t very funny at all. He told Pitchfork that John C. Reilly called him up personally to ask him to be in the movie, which makes us wonder how John C. Reilly got Jack’s phone number, but whatever. In other White Stripes news, Stereogum found this great video of Jack and Meg on Pancake Mountain, a show where a goat interviews musicians. Enjoy. Goats make the best journalists.

- The White Stripes‘ Icky Thump arrives with a bang today as the candy-striped duo take over the venerable Tower Records space on L.A.’s Sunset Strip. The first 200 fans who buy the record there get access to an in-store performance. In related Stripes news, this is only the latest in their long string of weird moments.
- VH1 You Oughta Know artist Paolo Nutini and VH1 You Oughta Know artist Amy Winehouse have announced that they’re teaming up for a two-week North American tour in September. Keep in mind that tour dates are subject to Amy showing up at the gig, which is a 50-50 proposition at the best of times.
- Proving that he’s no slouch in the comeback department, Al Gore responded to Bob Geldof’s complaints that Gore’s Live Earth event — a massive seven-continent concert taking place on July 7th — lacks specific goals. The former Vice President replied, "We will have very specific goals that will be very significant and hard-hitting." He then added a few more choice statements before finishing with "nana-nana boo-boo."

Celebrating the Canadian-colored rock duo’s appearance on the cover of their music issue, Nylon posted this rather cute and definitely entertaining workday distraction featuring the White Stripes on their website. Things to know before you watch: 1. Stay with it until the end or risk confusion; 2. the White Stripes and the Raconteurs were both recording in Nashville earlier this year; 3. the White Stripes do not, as a general rule, use bass. In other exciting White Stripes news, check here for stills from the as-yet-unreleased video for the first single off their new record, "Icky Thump."

- We’ve told you about this already, but Rihanna’s new video premieres tomorrow! At 10 a.m.! She’s added 14 extra syllables to the word “umbrella,” and boy, does it sound sweet-eet-eet-eet-eet-eet-eet!
- Former Phantom Planet drummer and acting whirlwind Jason Schwartzman has released a new solo record called Nighttiming. The first single, “West Coast,” is beautiful. So is the video, which stars skate legend Mark Gonzales. Only problem is that the footage wasn’t exactly Schwartzman’s to use. Ooops.

Style mavens and neo-classic rockers Jack and Meg White announced their new full-length, Icky Thump, will be released on June 19th, and leaked their cover art online. The sleeve features the happy duo clad in more finery than Glen Campbell at a fashion show. That’s fitting, since their newest album is so flamboyant. Is the red and white motif kaput? What’s your favorite White Stripes era?
