October is finally upon us, which means just one thing: Halloween. Time to dress like a crazy person and not get judged for it. (Unless you’re in a contest, in which case you will get judged for it, and possibly rewarded.)
We here at the VH1 blog know that our network has a rich cast of characters to choose from and that some of you will be getting together with your friends and dressing as the Mob Wives, the Basketball Wives, or even that old fave, Bret Michaels, as you should. (Last year, if you’ll recall, we received over 100 Bret Michaels photos, will he be as popular this year?) Send any photos of you and your friends in your best VH1 gear, don your Non-F’N Factor shirts, your bandannas, hell, BE a pop up bubble from Pop Up Video: we want to see it all. Confession: Whenever we spend any amount of time in a hotel room, we can’t help but become a weird (dare we say it?) fair-weather fan of The Weather Channel. From Cantore Stories to Storm Chasers, we all of a sudden become really interested in the national weather landscape, and we’re not alone. It seems Bret Michaels, who spends his life aboard a (love) bus, also has a thing for meteorology. In the clip above, check out Michaels as he films a video diary of the treacherous weather that his tour bus and plane have to travel through that just aired on The Weather Channel. It’s nice to see we’re not the only ones who love a good 10-day forecast.

Life As I Know It‘s own Bret Michaels and his daughters Raine and Jorja have recorded what will likely be the jewel of this volume: a re-recording of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” which Michaels originally sang with Poison in 1988, and which was previously anthologized on Monster Ballads: Platinum Edition.
