The cast of Single Ladies has been gearing up for their big premiere on Monday night, and they’ve been burning the candle at both ends here in New York City doing interviews, posing for pictures, and talking about the show. We found a few shots of them from earlier this week as they were leaving The Wendy Williams Show, and while LisaRaye McCoy never fails to keep the all-white ensemble fresh, Denise Vasi and Charity Shea rocked their springiest colors and they all looked gorgeous. Denise Vasi‘s waistline is about as big as like, the smallest part of my forearm, so when she tells me that not only doesn’t she diet, but that she has a habit of eating cupcakes in her sleep (only to realize it when she wakes up to find the evidence), it’s one of those things that makes you hate her for having such incredible genes and love her for being so funny about it. The new star of Single Ladies has always been likeable though, the first time we spoke, she admitted that she’s just a normal girl, shopping the 5 for $25 rack at Victoria’s Secret just like the rest of us. When I talked to Denise this time around, not only did she mention the sleep-eating, but she called herself a “klutzo” and “not a morning person,” but she also assured me that she’s not stressing about fans of the show comparing her to Stacey Dash.
Last time we spoke you had just arrived to Atlanta. Now that you’ve been here a couple of months, what’s changed?
I feel like I’ve finally found a balance between work and me time. Finding those quiet moments, that really helps. We all know each other a lot more now and we kind of know each others little things and when to approach each other, like “Denise is not a morning person.”

Raquel Lancaster is the newest character to be introduced on Single Ladies, and she’s beautiful, passionate, and ready to take on the world. Those are also traits that describe the actress playing her, Denise Vasi is all of those things, too, but in this brand new clip that was shot on location with Denise, she tells us that they have plenty of differences. “We have different views on a couple things in life,” Denise says. “Raquel is the hopeless romantic, gives everyone the benefit of the doubt. Denise Vasi has been spending the last five months or so settling into her character, an Atlanta society gal with a heart of gold named Raquel Lancaster, on Single Ladies. We’ve spoken to her about the character and she’s told us that Raquel “comes from high society Atlanta…[but] Raquel doesn’t come with the pretentiousness that she could.”
In a new interview with Sister 2 Sister Magazine, Vasi elaborates even further on the character. Vasi explains “Raquel, when you first meet her, she’s going to go through something that propels her into this life-changing journey. She goes through something that drops in her life like a bomb, and she spends the rest of the season figuring out what she wants.” Her character is an old friend of Keisha’s, but she explains where she’s been hiding saying “She’s a longtime friend of Keisha’s. Raquel used to summer with her aunt who lived next door to Keisha. So, they used to spend their summers together, and they’ve been like sisters ever since. They’ve always communicated. The cast of Single Ladies grows hotter by the day — that’s not a matter of opinion, it’s a fact at this point. When we posted some shots from the set recently, it was impressive enough that on one day of shooting, guest stars like T.I., La La Anthony, and Romeo Miller were wandering around, but this week is equally star-studded and the plain fact is that some of the hottest people we’ve ever seen are popping up on this show for season two. People like Pilar Sanders, who’s back, and hopefully plans to take it easy on poor April this time around, and recently announced Hollyoaks actor Ricky Whittle, who will be guesting as one of Denise Vasi‘s love interests (earning her the title of luckiest woman working in the TV biz).

Last week we revealed that La La Anthony would be appearing as a guest star on Single Ladies, but La La is just the tip of the huge special-guest iceberg about to crash into the show this season. We were on the Atlanta set of this week, officially to interview the cast, but unofficially, we were happy to gawk at all of these amazing, famous guest stars who were on the lot filming one of season two’s biggest episodes. We’re not about to give any plot away, but just know that it’s going to be good. We’ll have more coverage from our trip to Atlanta very soon, but for now, enjoy these amazing Twitpics that the cast and guest stars have been posting as they filmed this week, along with their captions. We’ve mentioned our fondness for the lovely Denise Vasi, the actress who has joined the cast of Single Ladies for season two, but right now we might be more jealous of her than anything. Vasi posted a few pictures to her Twitter account last night from a dinner where she was joined by her new co-star and on-screen love interest, William Levy. There’s a reason this guy was voted People En Espanol‘s Sexiest Man Alive in 2011. Good Lord. Pretty sure we’ve never seen as good-looking a couple as this.
