Attention, residents of Los Angeles! Your long wait is over. You have been waiting to have your meals served to you by reality stars Heidi Montag, Jake Pavelka, and Danielle Staub, right? The popular foodie website Eater LA reports that Lemon Basket, the restaurant at the center of the upcoming VH1 series Famous Food, is now open for business and the stars of the show will be at the eatery this week (you know, if you want to catch a glimpse or possibly even have them serve you). However, Eater notes that the Lemon Basket PR people claim that “the restaurant only opened for the show last night and publicly debuts next week,” so a word to the wise: If you do want to check it out, it might be best to call ahead, 310-289-8590.
In addition to the stars mentioned above, the other celebs who will be serving up food/trouble are Vincent Pastore of The Sopranos, DJ Paul and Juicy J from Three 6 Mafia, and she who shall not be categorized, Ashley Dupre. Celebrity waitstaff aside, the menu for this place sounds pretty delicious and would be reason enough for us to try it.
A few weeks back, an intrepid paparazzo caught the unlikely group of Heidi Montag (The Hills), Ashley Dupre (Eliot Spitzer’s little black book), Danielle Staub (The Real Housewives of New Jersey) and Jake Pavelka (The Bachelor) all eating lunch together in Hollywood. There was some speculation at the time that this group got together to film a new reality show, but nothing was officially confirmed. That is, until today…
VH1 GREENLIGHTS NEW SERIES FAMOUS FOOD (WORKING TITLE) TO PREMIERE THIS FALL
Celebrities Include Heidi Montag, Ashley Dupre, Danielle Staub, Jake Pavelka, Vincent Pastore and DJ Paul and Juicy “J” from Three 6 Mafia
Santa Monica, CA – April 20, 2011 – From Ashton Kutcher’s Geisha House to Robert DeNiro’s Ago, attaching a celebrity’s name to a restaurant is definitely a growing trend in Hollywood … but is it always a recipe for success? This fall, VH1 is going to put the concept to the test by partnering with renowned restaurateurs, The Dolce Group, to give seven celebrities the chance to turn one of their West Hollywood, CA properties into a flourishing and fully-operating restaurant. Joining the cast is Heidi Montag (The Hills), who not only has a passion for food, but also knows a thing or two about the restaurant business, especially after dealing with the unfortunate demise of her parent’s restaurant. Academy Award-Winning artists, DJ Paul and Juicy “J” from rap group Three 6 Mafia, who both have experience in the kitchen and have dreams of hosting a cooking show, will finally be given the opportunity to bring their culinary expertise to the table. Working with them, a cast of food connoisseurs in their own right, Danielle Staub (Real Housewives of New Jersey), Jake Pavelka (The Bachelor), Ashley Dupre (singer) and Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos) have always had the desire to pursue their visions and conquer the restaurant world. For eight weeks, this colorful crew of celebrities will roll up their sleeves and work together to launch their own restaurant, aptly named, Famous Food. This new one-hour, ten episode series is set to premiere in the fall.
Things are not getting any better for our men and women serving in Iraq – they’re about to be invaded by Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. The pair are heading to Iraq to ‘entertain’ the troops, and are arranging the trip through Senator John McCain’s daughter Meghan. “My brother was an airborne ranger in Afghanistan and Iraq,” Heidi gushed. “It’s very important to me and important to Spencer to support the troops and go over there.”
We respect their desire to help our brave men and women in uniform, we just feel that our American troops deserve someone a little classier? Entertaining? Famous? Human? All of the above, really. [People]
If your delicate ears can take it, Heidi Montag has leaked yet another one of her singles, and she wants you to listen. Is your stomach strong enough to handle this crap? Her latest “song” is titled “One More Drink,” and you can probably guess what it’s about – getting hammered! Wow, Heidi is really creating songs about those oh-so important, pivotal moments in life, huh? Nothing says world-changing lyrics like “sipping on that happy juice.” Seriously.
The Hills starlet and walker of a “higher path,” Heidi Montag, revealed to USA Todaythat she would like to record a Christian album. “I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years old. I always felt this crazy connection to God,” says Heidi, who identifies herself as “kind of non-denominational Baptist.”
“Jesus was persecuted, and I’m going to get persecuted, ya know? But it doesn’t matter to me.”
This August, she and fiance Spencer Pratt are headed to Africa to “feed children and help build things.” Awww, feed children and help build “things” – Just like Jesus! If Jesus can forgive Judas for denying him seven times and getting him hung on a cross, why can’t Heidi and Hills ex-BFF Lauren Conrad find it in their hearts to give fans a reconciliation?
“I don’t think people are ever going to get that,” the redeemer of reality TV says.
The latest celebrity feud pairs The Hills’ villian Spencer Pratt against The Wackness star Mary-Kate Olsen. In round one, Mary-Kate stopped by David Letterman and described her former high school-mate Spencer as “wormy” and ill-tempered. She also said “he would walk off the field” during soccer games. Check out the video of Mary-Kate taking a jab at Heidi Montag‘s fiance:
Spencer came back hard, hitting Mary-Kate below the belt and issuing the following statement to Us Magazine:
“I don’t really get why she’d use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one’s going to see,” he told Usmagazine.com Friday. “She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me. I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman. I forgive her, though,” he added. “She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”
The Hills star and Lauren Conrad nemesis Heidi Montag stopped by The View yesterday to show off her clothing line, Heidiwood. Naturally, Whoopi and her View cohorts wanted to talk about Heidi’s falling out with ex-BFF Lauren.
Heidi said, “The truth is, I have no animosity. I think Lauren is a great person and I am not that kind of person — I don’t hate somebody. I don’t have feelings like that. I’m on a higher path.”
Heidi’s “higher path” includes her tumultuous relationship with fiancé Spencer Pratt and other righteous activities including posing with American flags in a miniskirt and hanging out with Barney. Check out our gallery of just what Heidi’s “higher path” looks like:
Well that’s not entirely true – we can think of a couple words to describe Heidi Montag‘s new single “Fashion”. “Total crap” comes to mind, for example. Watching Heidi pursue a music career is liking watching a cat try to swim. It just ain’t gonna happen! The plastic princess has released her latest “song,” which totally reps her token sound: voice-morphing electronics, terrible lyrics, and an uncomfortably weird, unidentifiable French accent used to describe the clothes that make Heidi go crazy . In other words, it’s awesome!
Click here to enjoy such mind-blowing lyrics like “Oh oh la la la, we love designers,” and “I’m so fierce that it’s so nuts.” But the best line of all? “I live to be model thin.” Inspiring young women to destroy their bodies one beat at a time. Nice work Heidi!
Just when they couldn’t get any scarier, Spencer and Heidi have gone and spent $10,000 on guns. Shoot ‘em up! The freaky couple snagged “two Benelli semiautomatic M4 tactical shotguns, two Wilson close quarter combat .45-caliber pistols and one Scout semiautomatic rifle.” We’re not quite sure what they need them for, but Spencer allegedly is a wee bit paranoid since he became Mr. Moneybags. “Spencer does have a few enemies,” a friend explains. “He’s alienated a lot of people now that he’s rich and famous.” Another friend explained that “Spencer wants to be prepared for anything,” which judging from the amount of weapons he bought, is a full-blown war. Creepy. [In Touch]
Your favorite freak show, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, showed up at the ‘A Time for Heroes’ Celebrity Carnival, and they spent their time cuddling with that creepy purple dinosaur Barney and sitting on tiny children in a ferris wheel booth. That poor little girl is afraid of being smothered by plastic. Though it looks as if Spencer and Heidi are all sugar and candy and everything sweet and nice, we’re pretty sure it’s just a front. Perez Hilton reported today that the pair were spotted buying guns “for Heidi’s protection.” Spencer Pratt can barely control his mouth – just think of the harm he could do with a real weapon!
We’ve got more pics of the terrible twosome, as well as The Hills gals, Khloe Kardashian, Mischa Barton and Nicole Richie. Click!
