The stories of the patients of Celebrity Rehab are often about heartbreak, troubled pasts, and redemption, and this week, we’re (finally) taking a look at a few of the stars from the very first season of the series, whose stories combine all three. Dr. Drew Pinsky and Bob Forrest reconnected with four of the original celebrities to give us the first episode in a four-part series called Celebrity Rehab Revisited, and while their behavior in the past hasn’t always been stellar, they’ve all managed to prove to themselves and to us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Over the past five years, Dr. Drew has helped countless people, famous or not, battle addiction. After this latest season of Celebrity Rehab, Dr. Drew and Bob Forrest went back to check on the cast ninety days after they left the Pasadena Recovery Center to find out how they’ve fared after rehab, and this month we’ll finally be revisiting the patients from the first four seasons of Celebrity Rehab as well. Starting on November 20 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Dr. Drew and Bob will catch up weekly with some of the most infamous patients they’ve dealt with over the first four seasons, from Marey Carey to Andy Dick to Heidi Fleiss and Tom Sizemore. Radar Online reports that Jeff Conaway was given a private memorial service on Tuesday in Encino, California, and many of his close friends and former so-stars were in attendance.

Attendees included Conaway’s former fiancee Vikki Lizzi, his Taxi co-star Christopher Lloyd, actors Corey Feldman and Ron Jeremy, and fellow Celebrity Rehab patients Amber Smith, Mary Carey. The service included a performance from The Temptations, who sang “It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye” in Conaway’s honor. One guest told Radar “there wasn’t a dry eye in the house” during the service.

Conaway passed away on May 27 at the age of 60 and will be greatly missed.

It’s always fun to follow celebrities on Twitter, but here at VH1, our on-air talent has taken Tweeting and turned it into an art form. Take the cast of Mob Wives, who went from not even having Twitter accounts seven weeks ago to having more than 100,000 followers now. Or the ladies from Basketball Wives, who keep us updated on all their t-shirt drama, even when the cameras aren’t rolling. (Not to mention the crossover love these women have for one another’s shows, which is kind of sweet.)

The point is, you should be following them, and to make it easy, we’ve taken the liberty of doing all the Twitter dirty work so you can follow everyone on the network just by checking our our comprehensive VH1 Twitterpedia below. Need to know the handles of the folks from the last season of Celebrity Rehab or You’re Cut Off? We’ve got all that and more. Check it. Click it. Re-Tweet it.

Mary Ellen on Mary Carey

“I don’t think I’m as crazy or as wild as Mary Carey is,” says the woman that many in the world know as…Mary Carey. The clip above, in which the cleaned-up Celebrity Rehabber talks about her porn name (it was inspired by Mariah Carey, didn’t you know?) and the confusion that came as a result of it, is an extended extra from Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Addiction Special, which premieres Tuesday, July 1 at 10/9c on VH1. Joining Drew on the special are the likes of Nile Rogers and Mary’s former co-Rehabber, Seth Binzer. On her persona, Mary goes on to reveal, “It’s very confusing, the whole…” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves.

mary_carey_christmas.jpgIf you don’t know who Mary Carey is, consider your life thus far incomplete. The porn star who forged a career out of a vague resemblance to Mariah Carey and then ran for governor of California is set to appear next on VH1′s Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, coming in 2008.

But first, she’s auctioning her boobs! Seriously! Her recently removed breast implants have been signed and are now up for auction on eBay, with some of the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Says Mary:

Now that I’m sober, I wanted a new physical state to go along with my new mental state. I thought the auction would be a great way to spread some holiday cheer and to make sure someone out there has a Mary Mary Christmas.

I’d make a ho-ho-ho joke, but I don’t want to be Imused.

Oh, but you know what the best thing about this is? The removed implants don’t signal a reduction, but an upgrade: since having her 36-D’s removed, Mary’s moved up to 36-DDD’s. So, basically, you’re getting her sloppy, perhaps deflated seconds, but hey, it’s for charity, right?

After the jump, a closer look at the boobs up for bid…
