Every show has an underdog, a person who’s not quite part of “the circle,” or who has to work hard against all odds to make a name for themselves. Sometimes the underdog is constantly swimming upstream, and sometimes they “rise to the top,” in the words of Draya, the classic underdog from Basketball Wives L.A., and Draya did just that, working her way into the circle and becoming a fan favorite. So we want to know which struggling star won you over the most this year. Was it Draya, who had to work just to not be judged by those around her? Was it Royce from Basketball Wives, who had to dodge insults and flying glass throughout season three? Or maybe you prefer Somaya Reece, who was clearly the underdog of the first season of Love And Hip Hop, but thankfully Kimbella is taking her place in season two. On Baseball Wives, Jordana Lenz is the one labeled a groupie (or in baseball terms, a “cleat-chaser”) and has to defend herself against the actual wives. And then of course, there’s the sole man on our list, a man who lives in a house full of strong-willed women who just wants everyone to get along, Mr. Mark Patridge from Audrina. This poor guy hardly stands a chance with all the fighting that goes on around him. Take our poll and let us know who your pick is for the Biggest Underdog of 2011.

  • Basketball WivesEvelyn Lozada celebrated her birthday in style this past weekend. Not only did she hang out with some close friends (who all received “In The Circle” t-shirts from her) but she received a Maserati as a gift from her fiance, Chad Ochocinco. Not bad at all. Check out the pic of Evelyn’s new car above. [Twitter/The Insider]
  • Love and Hip Hop‘s Emily Bustamante confirmed that her clothing line will be coming out in the fall of 2012 [BET]
  • Audrina Patridge‘s relationship with Corey Bohan was rocky when she was filming her reality show, Audrina, but she confirms to People that they are definitely together now. “Filming a reality show really takes a toll on relationships because your mindset is to create good TV. It’s hard on relationships, so after the show, Corey and I really worked on what was going on with us,” she says. [People]
  • Jackie Christie spoke to our friends at VH1Access and discussed her plans for her 17th wedding (“I want to get married at GAY PRIDE next time.”) and what her biggest regret from season one was (“I would say I probably would curse less! And would have not put on the weight and dressed that way.”) Check out the full interview here. [VH1Access]
  • Emily Bustamante made the cover of PYNK Magazine and had a little party to celebrate. Check out the pics of Emily and friends over at Concrete Loop. [Concrete Loop]

  • October is finally upon us, which means just one thing: Halloween. Time to dress like a crazy person and not get judged for it. (Unless you’re in a contest, in which case you will get judged for it, and possibly rewarded.)

We here at the VH1 blog know that our network has a rich cast of characters to choose from and that some of you will be getting together with your friends and dressing as the Mob Wives, the Basketball Wives, or even that old fave, Bret Michaels, as you should. (Last year, if you’ll recall, we received over 100 Bret Michaels photos, will he be as popular this year?) Send any photos of you and your friends in your best VH1 gear, don your Non-F’N Factor shirts, your bandannas, hell, BE a pop up bubble from Pop Up Video: we want to see it all. (Some other ideas: Lynn Patridge! LisaRaye in any of her all-white ensembles! Dr. Drew! Beverly Hills Fabulous star Elgin Charles! ANYONE from My Big Friggin’ Wedding! The possibilities are endless.)

Submit your photos to VH1Submit@gmail.com for a chance to appear on the blog. And for suggestions on how best to dress and act (sort of) like a mob wife, watch our favorite video from Funny Or Die above for some hilarious tips.

Earlier this week, we pointed out that VH1 stars like Olivia from Love & Hip Hop and Laura and Gloria Govan from Basketball Wives L.A. were making the rounds at New York Fashion Week. After days of (seemingly) endless fashion shows, red carpets, television appearances, and other assorted fashion events, we’ve gathered that quite a few of our favorite reality stars were out and about and hob-nobbing with other fashion-loving A-listers. Check out some of our favorite shots of everyone from Mob WivesRenee Graziano, to La La Vasquez chilling with her pal Kim Kardashian, to the Govan sisters meeting Lady Gaga.(!!!)

Oh, and we should note that Gaga, like Adele before her, has admitted that she loves the Basketball Wives. Gloria Govan explained to Life & Style that when they met, Gaga told her that “she didn’t get to watch that much TV, but she really likes the show when she gets to watch it! She was like ‘Wow, you guys are the Basketball Wives, aren’t you!’ It was so amazing that she knew who we were!”

The antics of the Patridge Family (you know, that good-looking brunette family from Orange County that’s got lots of money and a booze-fueled matriarch, not to be confused the more musical and groovy Partridge family helmed by Shirley Jones) will grace the small screen no more.

Reality television mainstay Audrina Patridge, whose show, Audrina, aired on VH1 this past spring, has announced that she’s looking to a more scripted future. “We finished in April,” she says, “and I kind of decided I wanted to take some time off from reality. I want to do something more like acting or hosting.”

VH1 has confirmed that Audrina is done, saying “VH1 will not be picking up Audrina for a second season.” Oh, Lynn Patridge, we’ll miss you. But we’ll always have your ten greatest faces to look at when we need a fix.

We’ve joked before about how most of the drama on Audrina in fact comes from mama Lynn Patridge and not Audrina herself. And because Lynn has proven herself to be supremely entertaining, if maybe just slightly bonkers sometimes, we wanted to salute the matriarch of the Patridge family with a gallery in honor of her ten craziest moments.

She’s seen her share of fights this season, but let’s not forget about the good times she’s had with her children, her hubby Mark, and of course, with The Donald himself. And we managed to pause the show just in time to catch screengrabs of them all. Without further adieu, here’s Lynn Patridge, frozen in time.

    10. The Olden Days

    9. Down The Hatch

    8. The Gun Show

    7. Put A Ring On It

    6. You’re Hired

    5. That Don’t Impress Me Much

    4. The Big Fight

    3. ???

    2. Face Lift

    1. No Woman, No Cry

The Patridge family might not be done healing from their season-long rift, but they’re well on their way. And it’s nothing a wacky photo shoot can’t fix!

What will become of Audrina Patridge and her boyfriend Corey Bohan, or Lynn Patridge‘s tempestuous relationship with daughter Casey? How does bartender Robb plan to deal with moody Rachel, and will Hot Nick break up with Cassie before they even get their relationship off the ground?

Those are the questions we know you fans of Audrina and Saddle Ranch have been dying to know, and it will all come to a head this Sunday night during the season finales of both shows. For the past ten weeks, we’ve certainly seen our fair share of (occasionally booze-filled) drama from these guys, but it’s time to say goodbye for now. Everyone’s liver needs a rest.

The Audrina season finale airs at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and then stay tuned for the final two episodes of Saddle Ranch, airing back-to-back at 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. But of course it’s not over until our recaps are posted, so make sure you check back for all our thoughts on these two shows on the VH1 Blog after the final credits roll.

Professionally, things are going great for Audrina now that she’s the face of the Bremenns skincare line along with her mom, Lynn, and she’s half-naked on a 200 foot tall billboard. But personally? Oy to the vey.

It’s always fun to follow celebrities on Twitter, but here at VH1, our on-air talent has taken Tweeting and turned it into an art form. Take the cast of Mob Wives, who went from not even having Twitter accounts seven weeks ago to having more than 100,000 followers now. Or the ladies from Basketball Wives, who keep us updated on all their t-shirt drama, even when the cameras aren’t rolling. (Not to mention the crossover love these women have for one another’s shows, which is kind of sweet.)

The point is, you should be following them, and to make it easy, we’ve taken the liberty of doing all the Twitter dirty work so you can follow everyone on the network just by checking our our comprehensive VH1 Twitterpedia below. Need to know the handles of the folks from the last season of Celebrity Rehab or You’re Cut Off? We’ve got all that and more. Check it. Click it. Re-Tweet it.
