The last time Gloria Govan was on our TV, she was confirming that she and Matt Barnes were over. It was last fall during the Basketball Wives L.A. reunion show, and Gloria, who had spent the entire first season of the show working on her career and herself decided she needed some time and space away from Barnes, with whom she has twin boys. Gloria even told us “right now I’m taking my time to grow as an individual,” but that she would “never say never” to reuniting. But ever since then…well…Gloria and Matt can’t seem to stay away from each other.
And now, the rumor is that not only are they back together, but they’ve gotten engaged again. Necole Bitchie ran a photo of Gloria and Matt together, with Gloria wearing a ring that she’s shielding with her finger, causing speculation that it’s an engagement ring. Gloria was the first to admit that they have a roller coaster of a relationship, but whether or not a wedding is in the works, we wish them all the best. What do you guys think of the rumors?

Well this was not something we expected. Basketball Wives L.A. stars Jackie and Doug Christie have gotten into the game of producing their own TV show, as well as producing an adult film. First up is a TV show called Cali Boys, which is a reality show that focuses on making it in Hollywood. Jackie says about the show “The show will open the lives of the cast members up to the viewer in a no holds bar fashion and allow the viewer to accompany them on their journeys, which I’m honored to be a part of. And helping them all to realize their dreams.” She will co-produce with her husband as well as with actor Christian Keyes. The second project they’re working on as producers is an adult film. Yes, porn. Jackie told radio host Ricky Smiley this week “I’m producing an adult film, me and my husband Doug. We’re executive producing.” No word on what it will be called, but now we totally understand how they manage to keep their sixteen-year marriage spicy.
[UPDATE]: The Sacramento Bee reports that though Jackie called her project “an adult film,” it will actually be a mini-series about sexual intimacy. She says “It has adult content, and it definitely will have some surprises. It is for mature audiences, and yes, it will have nudity. But it will have a message, plots, and relate to real issues.” She says she and Doug chose to do this because it’s a passion project. “It’s one of the things on our bucket list. We wanted to help other couples, and while this is a very personal part of our relationship, this is an area where a lot of couples have problems. We also think this can help them with their communication.”
When your network has several shows that are about the lives of basketball wives, it makes sense that several of the stars should show up for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend. We’ve been keeping an eye on who was out an about in Orlando for the past few days that led up to the All-Star game, and while La La Anthony wins the award for hitting the most events (often with her pal, Gabrielle Union and her hubby, All-Star forward, Carmelo Anthony), others like Emily Bustamante, Gloria Govan, Somaya Reece, and Jackie and Doug Christie were having fun in Florida, too. Check out our gallery of stars who were there.

J’Adore Magazine’s reality TV issue has just arrived on newsstands, and wouldn’t you know it, Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams is gracing one of the covers. (The issue will have four separate covers, in addition to Williams, Giuliana Rancic, Ramona Singer and Brandon Beemer will also be featured.) What do you think of Jen’s goddess look?
The magazine is also chock full of interviews with VH1 stars, including Siggy Flicker, Carla Facciolo, Jackie Christie, and Laura Govan. It’s Govan’s interview that stands out to us though because she gets straight to the point when she’s asked about her fellow basketball wife, Shaunie O’Neal. Govan says:
I don’t have a relationship with Shaunie and I never will. The information she was given about Shaq and I was false, and she took it and ran with it. I didn’t appreciate it at all and for that reason I will never speak to her again. I don’t have beef with her. If we see each other, I won’t chin check her, but that’s why I chose to do Basketball Wives LA. I wanted people to see exactly who I am opposed to what you heard on Season One: Miami. I mean, there were five grown women talking about me and they had no idea who I was. That was unfair, but it goes to show you where their mentality was.
We’re sure that there are very distinct camps that love Shaunie and Laura, so we’re curious to know if fans’ minds did change regarding their opinion of Laura after she appeared on Basketball Wives L.A. Let us know what you think!

When it was first reported that Vanessa Bryant planned to divorce her husband, L.A. Lakers star Kobe Bryant, anyone with a passing familiarity of the Basketball Wives franchise started speculating about whether or not she should join the cast. Trust us, we heard the rumors, the thought crossed our minds, and we weren’t immune to the gossip. But today it was brought up again when TMZ reported that Vanessa was “the Holy Grail” for Basketball Wives producers, and they reported that producers were pitching the show to her and “would instantly make her a LEAD on the LA edition of the show.”
Well of course that got us wondering, so we checked with our sources at the network for the official word, and that word is: “Production has not reached out to Vanessa at this time.” So for today, you can put this news to rest.

January first means two things to most people: Hangovers and resolutions to never drink again. Or resolutions to never consume something again, be it alcohol, chocolate, entire pies in one sitting…whatever. But a lot of the folks who make up our VH1 family look at the bigger picture when they make their resolutions, and we’re excited that they shared them with us in time for the new year. So check out our list and see who’s resolving to “show their inner rock star,” who plans to give back to their community, and who didn’t make any resolutions at all.
Gloria Govan, Basketball Wives L.A.: My New Year’s resolution is to stop being late, and to work on being on time and making deadlines. lol
Malaysia Pargo, Basketball Wives L.A.: To follow my first mind always…

As an outsider watching a show, we never quite know what scenes are really “real,” what’s staged to help move the plot along, or whether or not certain trips our casts take are truly enjoyable for all involved parties. (cough*Basketball Wives*cough) At the very least, we now know what scenes were most fun for the stars who were in them. We asked the casts of several of our shows which moments were their favorites to film, and the answers are surprising. (Seems like that Basketball Wives L.A. Hawaii trip was more fun than it seemed!) Read on to find out how they answered.
