If you’re a fan of Basketball Wives but wish you had even more off-the-court entertainment in your life, get ready for Basketball Wives L.A., coming this summer.

The new series, produced by the original Basketball Wives mastermind and queen bee Shaunie O’Neal will take a closer look at a new group of women 3,000 miles from Miami, but with just as much drama in their lives. The new cast includes Kimsha Artest (wife of Ron Artest, Los Angeles Lakers), Jackie Christie (wife of Doug Christie, former player for the Los Angeles Clippers), Imani Showalter (ex-fiance of Stephen Jackson, Charlotte Bobcats), and perhaps most dramatic of all, sisters Laura and Gloria Govan, whose lives and relationships we’re already pretty familiar with from Gloria’s appearance on season one of Basketball Wives. The new show is set to premiere on Monday, August 29th at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

It’s always fun to follow celebrities on Twitter, but here at VH1, our on-air talent has taken Tweeting and turned it into an art form. Take the cast of Mob Wives, who went from not even having Twitter accounts seven weeks ago to having more than 100,000 followers now. Or the ladies from Basketball Wives, who keep us updated on all their t-shirt drama, even when the cameras aren’t rolling. (Not to mention the crossover love these women have for one another’s shows, which is kind of sweet.)

The point is, you should be following them, and to make it easy, we’ve taken the liberty of doing all the Twitter dirty work so you can follow everyone on the network just by checking our our comprehensive VH1 Twitterpedia below. Need to know the handles of the folks from the last season of Celebrity Rehab or You’re Cut Off? We’ve got all that and more. Check it. Click it. Re-Tweet it.

If you haven’t seen the supertrailer for Basketball Wives 3 yet, do yourself a favor and watch it, it’s got more drama in three minutes than we’ve experienced in our entire life. And for more information and a private chat with Evelyn and Jennifer, check out the clip above where the pair discuss not only what we can look forward to in the upcoming season, but they also open up about their regrets from last season. The question is, will they learn from the mistakes of seasons past, or are they destined to repeat them? (Option B seems like the correct answer.)

Basketball Wives 3 premieres Monday, May 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Last week, NBA player Chris Bosh filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child, Allison Mathis, and Shed Media, producers of Basketball Wives. Bosh claimed that Mathis’ appearance on the upcoming season of the show would exploit his trademark and personal likeness. The lawsuit also claimed that “the reality show is likely to confuse the public into thinking he authorized or sponsored Basketball Wives.” However, Mathis herself is not even scheduled to appear on the series, according to the show’s executive producer,Shaunie O’Neal.

TMZ caught up with the former Mrs. Shaquille O’Neal and asked for her take on the Bosh lawsuit and she responded, “That girl isn’t even on the show…He must like wasting money on attorneys.” Regardless of the current legal situation, season three of Basketball Wives is still scheduled to premiere on Monday, May 30th.

We’re still a little over a month away from the premiere of Basketball Wives 3, which is set to debut on Monday, May 30, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t already drama going DOWN. Filming is going on down in Miami as we type this, and based upon a report that we just saw over at the (sometimes reliable, sometimes not so much) Media Take Out, it seems like Tami is up to her old ways. According to MTO’s report: “One of the new girls apparently started talking out the side of her NECK towards Tami. And that’s when the BROOKLYN came out of her. Tami had to be held back from beating her azz.”

Meet Meeka Claxton, a brand new cast member of Basketball Wives 3There you have it! One thing that Media Take Out did NOT report, though, is that a brand new castmate has entered the fray this year. Meet Meeka Claxton (pictured at right), wife of former NBA champion and current NBA scout, Speedy Claxton. We have yet to see any of the footage from this season, though, so it’s not quite clear yet exactly where her allegiances lie. We’ll have more information on her

Our friends over at Bossip have a ton of pictures of the Basketball Wives from yesterday, be sure to check them out!

Now that it’s been few days since Chad Ochocinco confirmed his engagement to Basketball Wives and Basketball Wives 2 star Evelyn Lozada, some details about the particulars of the proposal are starting to leak out. In an US exclusive that ran earlier today, Evelyn dishes about how Ocho popped the question:

“He had a jeweler come to [his] house,” Lozada tells Us, explaining that a rep from jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills frequently travels to clients. “[It was] a total surprise! We sat there and picked out the ring.”
