Who’s kidding who? Our celebreality series has had a had some wild parental moments. Moms do things one way (hello Sister Patterson!) and dads do things another. Since Father’s Day is this Sunday, we figured that a playlist of some pop/kid interactions would be appropriate. We got Luke, Hulk, Danny, Scott, Flav, and others waiting for you in this Celebration of VH1′s Most Awesome Dads.
While most other reality stars are screaming “Show me the green,” the participants on Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling are screaming “Show me the red” – they’re out for blood. Brooke‘s dad and Linda‘s ex is kicking off a new show where Danny Bonaduce‘s roid rage can be put to good use: kicking the asses of everyone from Dustin Diamond to Dennis Rodman. On Saturday, Danny Bonaduce will enter the ring to “defend his honor” against stand-up comedian/Howard Stern cohort the Reverend Bob Levy. Their rivalry stems from an incident-turned-viral video from earlier this year, in which Levy interrupted a Bonaduce interview to bitch slap him.
Danny is, in short, on the warpath as you’ll see in the narrative below, culled from an interview we recently conducted with the child-star-turned-VH1 staple. It’s filled with trash-talking gems like, “I am going to ruin his career and his facial construction,” and, “When I hit him in the face as hard as I can, my eyes are going to light up like a 6-year-old’s on Christmas morning.” While we’re pretty sure he’s 100 percent serious, Bonaduce obviously couldn’t stop entertaining if he wanted to. “Sometimes it’s a public service to put an end to someone’s dreams,” says Danny Bonaduce, giving us a thumbnail sketch of his philosophy for judging I Know My Kid’s a Star, which premieres tonight at 10/9c on VH1. Talking about the show, Danny proves to be unapologetic as ever as he talks about heading the reality competition of stage moms and the kids who are sentenced to them. Below, Danny talks about his own tumultuous experiences with child stardom, the trainwreck culture of Britney and Lindsay and why he doesn’t think getting involved in showbiz is necessarily damaging to young people.
You’d expect there to be drama at an awards show for reality TV stars, but it appears Danny Bonaduce took it to the next level last night. Are you surprised? According to TMZ, the Breaking Bonaduce star hopped on-stage at the FOX Reality Channel Really Awards, picked up notorious Survivor contestant Jonny Fairplay (who is having a baby with America’s Next Top Model reject Michelle, natch) and slammed the guy on his face, leaving him bloodied and toothless. Fairplay was hauled off to the hospital in an ambulance, while Bonaduce went on Adam Carolla‘s radio show this morning to explain that he’s always been bugged by Fairplay (who lied on Survivor to win sympathy), so he had no problem stepping on-stage to inform Fairplay that the crowd was booing him. Fairplay jumped into Bonaduce’s arms and then the Bonaduce beatdown occured. Danny should probably save his “testimony” for a judge, seeing as he’s now the suspect in a “felony battery report.” Reality sure is sweet! [TMZ. Images: Getty]
