War is hell. And, as it turns out…
…so is weight loss.
Shar Jackson recently stopped by the VH1 digital office to talk about her life on and off Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp. Obviously, we had to talk to her about sharing the screen with ex Kevin Federline. Above, she talks about the curse of being constantly associated with her ex, and explains why she didn’t try to break that by walking off the show once she saw that they’d be sharing screen time. Below is an offshoot of that discussion, in which Shar discusses being a “tabloid celebrity,” and why she accepts no responsibility for that designation:

Who do you think is the happiest person in this picture?
My money’s on Jay.
All it took was one week, and he’s seemingly at ease with his sexuality!
Sebastian says: “You’ve got Kevin Federline’s ass in your living room…
…What more could you want?”
Amen, brother. Couldn’t have said it better myself…
The new season of Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp is set to premiere Monday, February 8 at 9/8c, but you can get an early look at it above in the extended trailer. Everyone’s freaking out: Bobby Brown is ripped, Shar Jackson is sick of people asking about her ex Kevin Federline, said ex looks like a pregnant man and Bad Girls Club’s Tanisha gets into it hardcore with drill instructor Harvey Walden IV. After watching this, there’s just one question: want some swine flu?

This season boasts a cast full of pop culture personalities ready to bare their bodies and souls as they dig in for the most grueling fitness program on television – designed to help them drop not only their flab, but also their emotional baggage. At the end of eight weeks, they will be lean, mean, Fit Club machines ready to face the world and show off their new hard bodies. Battling the bulge this season are legendary R&B bad boy Bobby Brown, Jay McCarroll (winner of Project Runway, Season 1), KayCee Stroh (High School Musical), dancer and choreographer Kevin Federline, former Baywatch babe Nicole Eggert, Sebastian Bach (Former lead singer of Skid Row), actress Shar Jackson (Moesha), and infamous Bad Girl Tanisha Thomas (Bad Girls Club, Season 2). The cast will be broken into two teams, competing for $200,000 in cash and prizes and the individual celeb who drops the most weight will win $50,000 in prizes.
Check out this video of former Baywatch babe and recently announced cast member of the next season of Celebrity Fit Club, Nicole Eggert, spoofing the changes her body has through over the years. On such a sensitive topic, it’s nice to see a woman handle it in such a good-natured way. With that kind of sense of humor about herself, she’ll fit in very nicely on VH1.

And, the network has launched nine new and returning series averaging at least 1 million total viewers in their premiere episodes. In fact, VH1 has launched five new series year-to-date averaging at least 1 million total viewers – more than any other cable network this year.
“No matter if you’re a Grammy Award winning artist, a film actor or a TV reality star with millions of loyal fans, we all share the same desires of the human experience…to succeed, to love, and to live our lives to their fullest potential,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Original Programming & Production, VH1. “VH1 has generated a lot of buzz over the years by evolving from an outlet that commented on pop culture to a brand that creates it. With these projects, we’re continuing to evolve, building on our core storytelling expertise to delve deeper into personalities and issues that connect with millions of our viewers.”
VH1 has teamed up with Sandra “Pepa” Denton of Salt-N-Pepa and Chilli from TLC – giving each pioneering hip-hop artist her own series revolving around their current lives as single women. The yet-to-be titled Pepa and Chilli series will premiere on VH1 in 2010.
