Tonight’s episode of VH1′s brief weekly countdown show The Short List (premiering at 9/8c) focuses on a subject near and dear to our hearts: meltdowns on reality TV. Although some highlights from VH1 make the cut, of course, the scope of the countdown covers the whole of reality TV. With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to round up the 10 greatest VH1-only meltdowns that didn’t make the countdown. Come, take a trip with us down memory emotional-instability lane…
Straight-up: the best part of my job as VH1′s shows blogger is interacting with the on-air talent. So many of them are natural entertainers that every slip of the tongue and motion of the lips is an act of hilarity. Below, I’ve compiled my 20 favorite quotes and exchanges from the extensive interviews that ran on the blog this year. There’s wit and insight to be found, yes, and at times even poignancy. But more often, it’s just all entirely ridiculous. Hey, gold is gold, right?

We’ll be hosting the Most Popular Episodes of 2009 Viewing Party all next week featuring some of the best episodes of year. The Viewing Party will go down Monday-Friday at 1 pm ET. This is your chance to relive the funniest and craziest reality TV moments of the season.

Antonio Sabato Jr., revealed that his head is shaped just as perfectly as his abs when he sported a freshly shorn dome at the Fox Reality Channel’s Really Awards on Tuesday in Los Angeles (the show is set to premiere Saturday at 10/9c). The VH1 set attended in droves — what other event gives them the opportunity to be rewarded by their on-air behavior? Check the gallery below for red-carpet shots of attendees Megan Hauserman, Daisy De La Hoya, Rock of Love Bus‘ Ashley and Farrah, I Want To Work for Diddy’s Poprah, Glam God‘s Vivica A. Fox, Rock of Love 2‘s Aubry and Adrianne Curry.

The Celebreality Interview – Ashley
“Duh. Of course I wanted the money. And of course I said things I didn’t mean and acted ways that weren’t myself,” Ashley tells us in her post-Charm School interview. And there’s more coming clean where that came from! Below, Charm School‘s resident “mean girl” talks about her return to stripping, why she thinks she deserved the prize money over Risky and Marcia, her embarrassment over appearing on Charm School in the first place, and why she doesn’t think being a bitch is such a bad thing, after all.
The ending of this installment of Charm School is so sweet, I’m not even going to put up a glib comment by way of introduction. You’re on your own with this one.
We often see people attempting to give up their vice on VH1, but rarely without the help of Dr. Drew. Marcia did just that, though, when she successfully gave up alcohol on Charm School. Below, the runner-up talks about going cold turkey, whether she started drinking again after the show and her many altercations with her fellow Charm School students.
After finally opening up during her speech, Risky takes it and wins Charm School with Ricki Lake! Below, the graduate talks about learning to open up, whether strategy came into play during her time on the show, her post-show boob job, and what she plans to do with the $100,00.
Spoiler alert!
