This is getting a little exhausting, but since we’ve committed to covering her, here’s Monica “Danger” Leon and Poprah arguing at a Haiti benefit. You do have to admit, “I’m Creole-Mexican, I’m not black,” is a really great thing to tell someone who just asked if you’re crazy. [via ONTD]
Update: Poprah has also posted a rundown of the night on YouTube, saying that before the red-carpet bust-up above, the uninvited Danger took the stage of the benefit and refused to leave. “Apparently, everyone thought it was a comedy act, but this was for real,” writes Poprah.
Below, the first-runner up of For the Love of Ray J 2 talks about getting over Ray, her loyalty to the Wolf Pack and why she thinks it won’t last between Ray and Mz Berry.
Who wonFor The Love Of Ray J last night? Here’s a hint: there’ll be a lot less of this from now on:
That’s right. Fun went up against mature, and fun lost. More on the For The Love Of Ray J finale, plus bonus clips and screen shots from the last episode below.
And so, it turns out not just that Mz Berry was there for the love of Ray J, but that Ray J was there for the love of Mz Berry. Below Ray’s second-season pick talks about winning Ray’s heart, what communication has been like since taping the show, the stress and ridicule she had to endure throughout her stay in the mansion and why she thinks so many women relate to her.
It’s been over a week since we last heard from Danger. Quick, someone get her on the horn! Actually don’t, because we did. In the interview below, For the Love of Ray J‘s most infamous character, Monica “Danger” Leon, talks about TMZ’s recent report that she lost custody of her daughter, her failed relationship with Gabriel Cannon, the joy she takes in being a public figure and accusing Ray J of being gay, then retracting it, then retracting the retraction.
In this week’s For the Love of Ray J 2 clip show, we were treated to previously unaired footage of Season 1 third-runner-up Chardonnay attempting to plead her way back onto the show (the section begins at 5:23 in the clip above). “I’m willing to come here and fight for you if you let me,” she tells Ray, who’s like, “Naaaah,” in response. It’s kind of tragic, really, but it was perhaps foolish for Chardonnay to think she could come back a la New York on Flavor of Love 2. VH1 has room for only one HBIC.
It’s not easy to face with a roomful of men whose chanting and general revelry is tied to mocking your sexual history. So Luscious learned on her last episode of For the Love of Ray J 2. Below, a somewhat guarded Luscious talks about the homie-smashing ridicule, leaving the show on her own terms, Dre Sinatra’s outrageous claims and her celibacy.
We’ve heard plenty of people say, “I’m not here to make friends,” throughout the years, but this interview with For the Love of Ray J’s Caliente features the first utterance of, “I don’t was there for find friends,” ever (probably). Amazing. Below, Caliente also talks about her feelings for Ray, her 15-year-old son, her talk show and her much-teased-about grasp on the English language.
(And speaking of that, I’ve done my best to preserve Caliente’s voice by transcribing her words verbatim. I didn’t type them out phonetically because that’d probably take weeks. I salute the hard work of the For the Love of Ray J 2 subtitlers!)
Ask your average schlub what VH1′s most celebrated body part is, and he’d tell you “boobs,” thanks to the sea of silicone this network has sailed on for the past three or so years. But times are changing! Repeatedly, VH1′s reality programming has shown love for feet (and the men who love them), boldly venturing into an area of kink that few networks would. (In fact, the only bit of resistance to feet in recent memory was Flavor Flav’s break down over Grayvee’s offering of pigs’ feet on Flavor of Love 3. And Flav is…you know, Flav.) With this week’s premiere of Let’s Talk About Pep featuring toes that “taste like meatloaf,” we thought it was time to collect the instances of foot worship that have helped give this network a leg up on its peers:
