We’re introducing a new quick-hits-style feature, in which we’ll be posting the best moments from the previous night’s shows on this blog with minimal commentary. This is for both the in-case-you-missed-it crowd and for those who want to relive the previous night’s programming again for the first time (but can’t seem to find the remote, because you know that the shows are inevitably repeating right now).

In last night’s Fantasia for Real, our star proved naysayers who mock her literacy wrong by finally nabbing her GED (doggone it!) and becoming valedictorian of her class in the process. “I mean, there was only three people with me that took the test, but that doesn’t matter!” she explained and…yeah! It doesn’t matter!

Meanwhile, on the finale of La La’s Full Court Wedding

On La La’s Full Court Wedding, we’re down to four days before La La Vasquez’s huge New York wedding to Carmelo Anthony. With less than a week before the big day, La La should be relaxing, maybe going in for a final workout with her personal trainer, and hanging out with Tyrese again (why not?). Instead she’s whittling down her guest list and rushing to find her best friend, cousin, and maid of honor Dice a dress to wear. Why all the last-minute stress? Because it seems like everyone forgot their Emily Post.

If the events of La La’s Full Court Wedding are a bit extravagant and grand for you, perhaps the video above will be more relatable. It’s one in a three-part web video series devoted to La La’s wedding tips. In the clip above, La La talks logistics: how many people to invite, where to have the wedding, what to do if you have a lot of friends and can’t include everyone in the ceremony. At last, here’s wedding advice from an expert: someone who’s actually married.

La La Vasquez’s wedding is just a week away and with most of the wedding prep behind her, it’s time for her to wrap up a few tiny details, starting with one huge detail: the dress. As we learned the first week of La La’s Full Court Wedding, La La already has a custom-made Vera Wang dress, but she’s found a pink dress she likes even more…

La La Vazquez and Ciara (who can be seen alongside her friend in La La’s Full Court Wedding) are taking part in Dan Savage’s YouTube-based It Gets Better Project. Inspired by the recent rash of suicides by bullied gay youth, the video project encourages people to upload their accounts of how things got better for them with age. Originally directed at readers of Dan’s Savage Love column, celebrities have gotten in on the online encouragement. Though La La and Ciara’s message is simple, it’s valuable (especially since such a stance could potentially alienate their conservative/anti-equality/violence-loving fans, and they didn’t have to make their voice heard on this subject, in any event). Nicely played, girls.

For years, La La Vazquez has been VH1′s bridesmaid. She’s shown up in various roles — hosting reunions, guesting on show challenges, serving as the dean of Charm School with Ricki Lake. Throughout her time as on-air support, she has remained visible but just off to the side of the action. All that will change when La La’s Full Court Wedding debuts on VH1 this weekend (its premiere will air Sunday, September 19 at 10:30/9:30c), giving La La the starring role in both a reality show and a wedding.

We interviewed La La about her transition from single lady to wife as well as the one from host to centerpiece. Below, La La talks about preparing for a wedding in front of cameras, her celebrity friends, the band-versus-DJ dilemma and her husband’s pickiness when it comes to wedding-planning.

Right on the heels of its online premiere, check out this extended preview of the entire season of La La’s Full Court Wedding (premiering on air Sunday, September 19 at 10:30/9:30c). There’s something old (the tradition, duh), something new (La La’s describes her groom-to-be, Carmelo Anthony, to be “pickier” than she is regarding the planning), something borrowed (wedding-TV viewers should be extremely familiar with pre-wedding stress and jitters at this point) and…a whole lot of celebrities. Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Tyrese and Ludacris are just a few of the familiar faces lending some star power to this holy union of matrimony and reality TV.
