Antonio Sabato Jr., revealed that his head is shaped just as perfectly as his abs when he sported a freshly shorn dome at the Fox Reality Channel’s Really Awards on Tuesday in Los Angeles (the show is set to premiere Saturday at 10/9c). The VH1 set attended in droves — what other event gives them the opportunity to be rewarded by their on-air behavior? Police Discover Ryan Jenkins’ Suicide Note

ryan-jenkins-jasmine-fiore

Police revealed today that they discovered a suicide letter written by Ryan Jenkins, the Megan Wants a Millionaire contestant who allegedly murdered his wife, Jasmine Fiore. The note, titled “Last Will and Testament,” was found on Jenkins’ computer and dated August 20th, three days before Jenkins hanged himself in British Columbia.

Sgt. William Kohanek described the one-page document as “a love-hate letter and then some apology to his family,” and told People magazine that Jenkins also expressed intense jealousy and anger toward his ex-wife. “It was clearly defined that Mr. Jenkins was jealous of multiple side relationships that she had,” says Kohanek.

In addition, Kohanek reveals that “there was a lack of any acknowledgment of the murder,” so the note doesn’t qualify as a confession. Instead, Jenkins apologized to his family members for the negative publicity they had to endure as a result of the case.  [PopEater, E! Online. Photos: VH1, GettyImages]

VH1’s Changing Face Meets Resistance

In the wake of the Ryan Jenkins/Jasmine Fiore tragedy, there’s been much ado about VH1 changing its act (the network’s president Tom Calderone recently told the L.A. Times that emphasis would be placed on “redemptive” programming because “we don’t want our viewers tuning in and feeling like it’s the same network all the time”). How the future redemption-minded programming will differ from the redemption-minded programming that’s been on VH1 for years (starting with Charm School and running through recent hits like Tough Love and Tool Academy) is anyone’s guess, but there’s one man who’s not going to stand for it. His name is Ben Hoffman, he works for Current and his rant is above. [via Bourgy]

Megan: I Want To Continue Doing TV

58241354

Here’s probably the least surprising quote you’ll read today (via Megan Hauserman): “I really enjoy being on TV and I love my fans. I want to continue doing TV work.” That’s what she told People when the mag caught up with her during a recent appearance in Las Vegas. That’s not to confirm a recent rumor suggesting she has a new non-dating show lined up (that rumor is, in fact, untrue — we’ll post here if/when such news is official), just to tell you what you already knew. So there you go. You’re welcome.

Megan’s been laying low since the Ryan Jenkins/Jasmine Fiore tragedy that resulted in the cancellation of Megan Wants a Millionaire, at least as far as the media is concerned.  On those harrowing events, Megan said: “It’s been a very challenging time. I’m happy to move forward at this point. It’s been a very upsetting, sad, tragic situation that nobody could have expected.” Indeed.

On the subject of moving forward, more shots of Megan partying with BFF Cecille Larsen in Vegas are below. [People]

Ryan Jenkins Found Dead

ryan_charged1

TMZ is reporting that Ryan Jenkins, the Megan Wants a Millionaire contestant accused of killing his wife Jasmine Fiore, has been found dead in an apparent suicide. They say he was in a hotel in British Columbia, where staff found him hanging.

There’s not really much to add to that by way of commentary. Tragedy begets tragedy. Of course, our sympathy goes out to the friends and families of Jasmine Fiore and Ryan Jenkins, as it has for the past several days.

On Ryan Jenkins

ryan_charged

Just to help fill in some details for the two people visiting this blog who don’t know what’s going on: Ryan Jenkins of Megan Wants a Millionaire has been charged with killing his ex-wife Jasmine Fiore, whom he met earlier this year, after he filmed Millionaire. Ryan’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, although it is suspected that he fled to his home country of Canada. There is a manhunt currently underway.

VH1 released a statement on the matter Wednesday. 51 Minds, the company that produces Megan Wants a Millionaire, also released a statement. They told TMZ:

51Minds was not aware of Ryan Jenkins’ record when it cast him on Megan Wants a Millionaire. Obviously, if the company had been given a full picture of his background, he would never have been allowed on the show.

The company did have in place what it thought was a thorough vetting process that involved complete background checks by an outside company for all contestants on its shows. Clearly, the process did not work properly in this case.

Although up till now we have remained silent regarding this matter besides the official statement, we will do our best to report developments going forward. The enormity of this tragedy barely can be expressed, so please bear with us. As we said before, our thoughts go out to Jasmine Fiore’s family, and more so with every saddening development we receive. There are plenty of places you can look for more details and speculation and speculative details. Here’s the A.P.’s latest take.

Clearly, our comments box is overflowing and there are very few questions that we’re able to answer at this point. Regardless of what other sources say (including websites maintained by on-air talent), no announcement has been made about the fate of any future programming, besides Megan Wants a Millionaire, which currently is postponed (as is its VH1.com online coverage). We will update you officially if and when anything changes. Some people also seemed confused regarding Megan Hauserman’s well-being. Rest assured that Megan is healthy and safe.

More when we can…

Update: We’re sad to announce that both Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3 officially have been canceled.

VH1’s Official Statement On Megan Wants A Millionaire

Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on Megan Wants A Millionaire, an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.

Update: We’re sad to announce that both Megan Wants a Millionaire and I Love Money 3 officially have been canceled.
