In what is surely the greatest combination of flavors since you got YOUR chocolate in MY peanut butter, two of your favorite Celebreality superstars just made some sweet music together. Literally.

TMZ reports that Flavor of Love star Flavor Flav joined Rock of Love star Bret Michaels on-stage in Dubuque, Iowa (of all the places!), for a killer version of Public Enemy’s 1990 Top 40 smash, “911 Is A Joke.” As you’ll see from the (admittedly crappy*) video above, Flav started the jawn off a capella style, but then Bret and his band joined in with some ferocious instrumental backing, at which point everyone in the audience got up and then got, got down.

What do you guys think? Should Flav and Bret go out on tour together? Or should they stick to romancin’ the ladies?

I’ll just be up front about it: I love Rock of Love girls so much that I’d be willing to open a retirement home for them (if I ever find myself with an excess of cash). It would be an investment in self-perpetuating entertainment. In the meantime, getting to see them on VH1 again via Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now was a little slice of satisfaction in itself. Since I’ll never, under any circumstances pass up the opportunity to talk to a Rock of Love girl, I figured I’d take advantage of this opportunity and get a few of them on the phone to help flesh out their on-air updates.

Below, Angelique, Brandi C., Megan, Heather, Rodeo, Marcia, Farrah, Ashley and Brittaney Starr (who wasn’t featured on the special, but contributed to this piece, anyway) talk about daunting transition from reality TV to actual reality. They give their thoughts on Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, share whether they’ve found happiness and reveal what they’re doing to feed themselves. Who’s bartending? Who’s back at the strip club? The answers may surprise you, but then again since it is Rock of Love girls we’re talking about, maybe not.

“It’s short and it’s fun, it counts down from 10 to 1, it’s The Short List,” goes the theme to VH1′s new, abbreviated countdown show. And so it does, and so it is. The second episode ran down the list of the 10 Greatest Reality TV Meltdowns. Check out the clip above and the entire tally below…

Even though it’s only been one week since Bret Michaels was released from the hospital, the hard-rocking Poison frontman is making good on his promise to “continue to rock the world.” TMZ is reporting that Bret is planning on resuming his tour on May 28 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Biloxi, MS. As you’ll recall, Bret was on tour when he was rushed to the hospital back in mid-April for an emergency appendectomy, a tour which was obviously postponed again after he suffered a life-threatening brain hemorrhage less than a month ago. It remains to be seen whether or not Michaels will be healthy enough to appear on the live finale of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice on May 23, but either way, it’s amazing that he’s been able to recover so quickly.

According to Canoe, Bret Michaels has given his first post-hemorrhage interview to People (note that these quotes are nowhere to be found on People’s site as of now). “I want to continue to rock the world, and I want to continue to love my family and be a good father,” he says in what reads like a prepared statement. He also hints that he may have had his rock of love all along: Kristi Gibson, the mother of his two children, who he dated from 1994 to 2005. “There’s just so much more I want to do and experience. [Getting married], for sure, is something I have never done. Kristi’s such a great person. We’ll see if that happens. But yes, that may be one of the big things on the list,” says Bret. Hopefully, he’ll test things out with Kristi on reality TV first, just to make sure it’s meant to be. [Canoe -- Jam!]

Bret Michaels will “fortunately make a complete recovery,” said Dr. Joseph Zabramski, a member of his medical team at a press conference at Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona on Tuesday. The representative of the institute where Bret was treated last month following his subarachnoid hemorrhage. The doctor says that a stable Bret was recently discharged from the hospital, is making a “good recovery,” and as confirmed earlier by Bret’s sister Michelle Sychak, no longer slurs his speech when he talks. The doctor says that Bret is talking well and “mentally aware of everything that’s going on,” but is having some problems walking as a result of back spasms.

The doctor said he expects Bret to be fully recovered within four to six weeks. He said that Bret may suffer from back pain or headaches, but will be able to assume all normal activities. There’s still no firm answer on what caused the hemorrhage (although the doctor once again denied speculation that it could have come from Bret’s Tony Awards injury). He credits “very good luck” as the cause of Bret’s potential full recovery. [Image via Getty]

Taya Parker Talks Bret Michaels On CNN

After seeing such an overwhelming show of support from all of you Bret Michaels fans out there, we here at VH1 have decided to work a fresh batch of your well-wishes for the Poison frontman and Rock of Love into another re-airing of his Behind The Music special on VH1 Classic tonight at 9 p.m./8c. Sadly, there isn’t enough room to squeeze everyone’s message into the show, but we did want to find a way to extend our thanks to all of you who took time out of your busy schedules to send such inspirational messages to Bret and his family. So be sure and tune in tonight to see if your message made it to air!

Speaking of Bret, TMZ is reporting that he has recovered to the point that he is “now speaking well and plans to hit the stage on May 26.” That’s truly outstanding news, don’t you think?

Rock of Love Bus winner Taya Parker appeared alongside the likes of Donald Trump, Jr. and Darryl Strawberry (both of The Celebrity Apprentice) on last night’s Larry King Live. The topic of discussion, of course, was Bret Michaelsbrain hemorrhage. In the clip above, Taya talks about watching Bret live recently (“The energy onstage was amazing”), her association with Bret since Rock of Love Bus, and fans’ well wishes to Bret they’ve sent courtesy of her.

Additionally, Dr. Sanjay Gupta weighed in on Bret’s hemorrhage. He said that Bret’s head injury at the 2009 Tony Awards and his diabetes were not likely causes of the hemorrhage, and that, in fact, we may never know the true cause of the aneurysm that triggered the hemorrhage (high blood pressure to smoking to genetics were among the possible factors listed). Gupta also said that the fact that Bret is talking (as suggested by reports) following the hemorrhage is a good sign.

Update: According to Bret’s Facebook page, he’s experienced a setback:

“Test results indicate a setback in Bret Michaels condition a side effect from the brain hemorrhage called hyponatremia a lack of sodium in the body which leads to seizures.”

Bret Michaels Brain Hemorrhage

As you have no doubt heard by now, Bret Michaels suffered a massive brain hemorrhage on Friday and is still under close observation in an undisclosed hospital’s Intensive Care Unit. As he continues down his road to recovery, we here in the VH1 family would like to make the following statement:

“We are all thinking of our friend Bret Michaels and his family at this difficult time. Everyone in the VH1 family sends him our best wishes for a speedy recovery and hopes to hear him rock our worlds again very soon.”

Straight-up: the best part of my job as VH1′s shows blogger is interacting with the on-air talent. So many of them are natural entertainers that every slip of the tongue and motion of the lips is an act of hilarity. Below, I’ve compiled my 20 favorite quotes and exchanges from the extensive interviews that ran on the blog this year. There’s wit and insight to be found, yes, and at times even poignancy. But more often, it’s just all entirely ridiculous. Hey, gold is gold, right?
