Guarantee it. Rodeo for life. VERY pumped for her new line of soaps.

If this news doesn’t make you throw an apple up in the air while wearing a cowboy hat and balancing one foot on an exercise ball, I don’t know what will! Remember how Rock of Love‘s Cindy “Rodeo” Steedle was arrested last October at an Atlanta nightclub for allegedly stealing her ex-boyfriend’s car and gun safe? No? Well it happened and now we can emphasize that “allegedly,” because the charges have been dropped. Per a press release from her manager:

We are pleased to announce Cindy “Rodeo” Steedle received a letter from the Henry County Superior Court (Georgia) dated Thursday, January 13, 2011, stating the District Attorney has dismissed all charges against Cindy related to an outstanding warrant and arrest that occurred on October 14, 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Cindy “Rodeo” Steedle was arrested at an Atlanta event while promoting Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now. The arrest was over a warrant for allegedly stealing her ex-boyfriend’s personal property.

After months of investigation, it’s apparent the prosecutors dropped the charges against Cindy due to insufficient proof. Cindy stated all along these allegations were completely unfounded.
We were confident the charges would be dismissed in a timely fashion and Cindy’s name would be cleared.

Now that this ordeal is behind her, Cindy will continue to move forward with her career and focus on her new talk show, The Voice, which is in development and set to launch in 2011.

There’s nothing left to say but: YEE HAW!!!

2010: The Year In Posts

2010_posts

To wrap up our look back at 2010, here’s a brief list of the most satisfying posts that ran on this blog this year. You can probably imagine that working at VH1 puts a person in touch with extreme personalities on a regular basis. Though that is amusing enough to get you through your day, it’s always nice when content you’re proud of as a blogger comes with it. Below are six such instances…

In addition to the previously posted clip of Kristi’s Rock of Love workout (calisthenics + catharsis), the highlight of last night’s offerings had to be Farrah and Ashley’s Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now? segment. Really, most of the segments were great (did I mention that I really love Rock of Love Girls?), but this particular one kept the Rock of Love dream alive better than any other (first runner-up, though, goes to Destiney’s posing for Hustler to feed her child). What is that dream, you ask? Well, in the immortal words of Ashley, “What’s entertaining to me is seeing a bunch of drunk strippers falling down on their faces and heating up Hot Pockets.” There are no Hot Pockets in this clip, but they’re certainly there in spirit.

One of the things we did not speak to Cindy “Rodeo” Steedle about when we talked to her for yesterday’s Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now? post was her recent arrest at at Atlanta nightclub, which TMZ reported was over a warrant that was out for her arrest for stealing her ex-boyfriend’s car and gun safe. Rodeo’s not talking about the incident right now, but we did receive this full statement from her attorney, Sam Katz:

“The allegations against my client, Cindy ‘Rodeo’ Steedle, are completely unfounded. She has no history of legal troubles and has long been an upstanding member of the Atlanta community. These accusations are nothing more than a latent attempt by Mr. Flair to garner media attention and capitalize on the national recognition my client has achieved over the past few years. She is in no way guilty of any of the charges being brought against her and we are confident that they will be dismissed in a timely fashion. We do not wish to discuss this matter in the media any further but we intend to ensure that Ms. Steedle’s name is cleared.”

I’ll just be up front about it: I love Rock of Love girls so much that I’d be willing to open a retirement home for them (if I ever find myself with an excess of cash). It would be an investment in self-perpetuating entertainment. In the meantime, getting to see them on VH1 again via Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now was a little slice of satisfaction in itself. Since I’ll never, under any circumstances pass up the opportunity to talk to a Rock of Love girl, I figured I’d take advantage of this opportunity and get a few of them on the phone to help flesh out their on-air updates.

Below, Angelique, Brandi C., Megan, Heather, Rodeo, Marcia, Farrah, Ashley and Brittaney Starr (who wasn’t featured on the special, but contributed to this piece, anyway) talk about daunting transition from reality TV to actual reality. They give their thoughts on Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It, share whether they’ve found happiness and reveal what they’re doing to feed themselves. Who’s bartending? Who’s back at the strip club? The answers may surprise you, but then again since it is Rock of Love girls we’re talking about, maybe not.

If you’re as excited for tonight’s Rock of Love Girls: Where Are They Now special (airing at 9/8c, before the 10/9c premiere of Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It), you’ll want to check out the preview above of Tamara’s and Heather’s segments. This is seeing old friends. Old, interesting friends who might curse you out or pose for you, but either way will probably confuse you. Reunited and it feels so tingly in my underpants!

What’s more is you can catch an additional clip of Lacey’s, Kristy Jo’s and Mindy’s segments at the show’s video page.
