This was the most aggressive moment on this episode of Tool Academy 3. Do you get that?

Daniel and Lesley were one of Tool Academy 3‘s most entertaining–and most violent–couples. Seeing them leave this week was a bummer not only because we’d miss seeing Daniel’s glow-sticking and artwork, but because the couple had a child together. Their breakup at the end of the episode was real — Lesley told me she was too upset to talk about it this week, but in this interview, Daniel talks about being single, taking Lesley’s punches, and why he thought Trina was so hot.
This week’s episode of Tool Academy 3 gets super meta. The Tools break down the fourth wall, then the fifth, then have a protein shake and punch out the sixth.
Watching Tool Academy 3 on Sunday nights gives you a kind of of positive mantra you can repeat in your head for the upcoming work week: “At least I’m not that bad. At least I’m not that bad. At least I’m not that bad.” It’s funny to know that Emily and her laid-back, surfing Tool boyfriend Shawn, thought the same thing during their two weeks at Tool Academy. But just because things aren’t that bad doesn’t mean they’re perfect. Below, read about how the other Tools taught Emily and Shawn to smirk and bear it, at least until they were booted.
A companion to our interview with Amanda, the first Tool to leave Tool Academy 3 talks Jewish princedom, wrestling boners and why Courtney’s show of force had nothing to do with him leaving the show. His words!
When Tool Academy 3‘s first Tool victim, Amanda, left the show, she left alone. But it wasn’t her choice, nor was it the show’s. Her boyfriend, pro-wrestler and self-described “Jewish Prince” Chasyn “Not Cocky” Rance, had packed up and left the Academy hours earlier, abandoning Amanda and becoming Tool Academy‘s first dropout in three seasons. “I can’t believe I got dumped by a cheesy wrestler on national TV,” she said in the limo ride back. Clearly both Chasyn’s real and his wrestling persona had turned heel. Amazingly, that wasn’t what ended their relationship. In this interview, Amanda talks about why they stayed together after the show, and why they’re apart now.
Relationship therapist Trina Dolenz is the gentle and prim voice of reason on each chaotic season of Tool Academy. In previous semesters, she helped lead by example, playing the role of girlfriend, mother, and teacher in therapy sessions so that the male Tools could learn how to treat the women in their lives. Now she’s playing even more roles–boyfriend and referee–as she guides Tool Academy‘s first coed, and most volatile cast toward healthier relationships. Below she discusses working with the Toolettes, Angelo’s nonstop crying, and how the therapy sessions affect her.
What show could turn a man from this…
…to this…
Welcome to Tool Academy 3, where Tools are reformed, manhoods are threatened, and dudes are really, really surprised.

This season’s Tool Academy (premiering Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9/8c) class has gone coed with the introduction of both a straight couple whose female half is an unapologetic cheater, and a lesbian couple on the brink of self-destruction. The lady tools–or “toolettes”–are this season’s biggest change for sure, but the Season 3 cast surprised host Jordan Murphy and Trina Dolenz in ways beyond that. Below is an interview with host Jordan Murphy, who discusses earning cast members’ respect, the glorification of tool behavior, and how the show kicks its tools in the metaphorical “va-jay-jay.”
