Tough Talk With Steve Ward: Episode 2

Master Matchmaker Steve Ward is back for a third season of Tough Love, and this time he’s traveled south to Miami where the heat is definitely on. Steve will be giving us his thoughts on every episode, so for episode two, he admits he has no remorse for putting Jane’s mugshot out there for the world to see, because honesty is the only policy. He also gets into how too many people aren’t cautious enough with their online profiles.

Hi, Elizabeth! So what did you think of the show?

I was so entertained. And people are still tweeting about it too, it’s getting great feedback!

If you go into Twitter and search my name or Tough Love, you try to find one bad thing people are saying about the show, one negative comment, I’m gonna tell you, you’re going to have a hard time.

I did see somebody call you out for posting Jane‘s mugshot, and I understand you can Google it and it’s public, but did you ever hesitate for a moment at putting that out there?

No. Not even a blink of an eye.

Steve Ward On Tough Love Miami’s Season Premiere

Master Matchmaker Steve Ward is back for a third season of Tough Love, and this time he’s traveled south to Miami where the heat is definitely on. Steve will be giving us his thoughts on every episode, and he has plenty to say about the season premiere where we met the new crop of women, each one with an issue all her own.

Episode one! Can you tell me what your first impression was of each of the ladies when you met them?

Do you want to go one by one? I do remember them all, I actually memorized them alphabetically.

Oh, well then let’s go in alphabetical order.

Alright, we will start with Avonte. She was very stubborn, I mean she’s in her late 30’s, she was in a serious relationship with a married man for almost a decade, and she came into boot camp rationalizing it, thinking that she wasn’t the problem, everyone else was the problem. I think she was very easily impressionable and so she fell for what I consider to be a bunch of bulls— and some guy led her to believe that because his religion allowed him to live a polygamous lifestyle that it was okay for her to be his long term girlfriend while he was married to another woman.

Tough Love Miami - Episode 2 – Love And The Internet

This week on Tough Love: Miami, the women get a lesson in how to deal with men in this age of advanced cyber-stalking, text-messaging, and Google searches. And while everyone proves they have something to learn when it comes to technology, Avonte proved she also has something to learn in the “Just being a decent person” department. Not only did she call her date “pitiful” (luckily not to his face), but she did mock his dreadlocks and tell him she hated them. So what do you think, honesty is the best policy, or someone should muzzle this girl?

Tough Love: Miami – Episode 1 – If You Can’t Handle This, The Door Is Right There

Tough Love Miami is finally here! At long last, matchmaker Steve Ward is back to dish out the truth to eight new recruits, each with their own issues that are causing them some problems in the love department.

Steve wasted no time this week, giving this new group of women two “first impression”-based challenges. The first involved them walking through a bar to see what kind of impression they left on a group of guys hanging out there, and later, they had an elevator challenge. Like the first exercise, they had to walk past a group of lovely gents, and some of them would follow each woman into an elevator. The women would then have to choose which guy in their elevator they wanted to spend the evening talking to. As quick as this sounds (I’m used to express elevators, so fourteen floors seems like an incredibly short amount of time to size up your suitors), this cause a lot of drama for some of these women. They’re also given the symbolic promise ring, which is there to remind them that Steve means business and they’ll hopefully have someone to give the promise ring to by the end.

Let’s meet the ladies now and analyze how they fared during their inaugural bootcamp challenges! And check in tomorrow when we chat with Steve about his thoughts on the episode.
