VH1 Tough Love is coming back, and this time the house is more crowded then ever! See, instead of setting a group of women on the path to successful romance, Master Matchmakers Steve and JoAnn Ward will be taking on couples this time. VH1 Tough Love is back with an all new twist! This time around, matchmaking mother and son team, Steve and JoAnn Ward, welcome six couples who are all on the brink of deciding whether to get engaged or break up. These couples represent various archetypes like The Drama-ramas, The High School Sweethearts and The Cheaters. Over the course of eight weeks, Steve and JoAnn will put these couples to the ultimate test to see if they are truly a perfect match. The couples will endure lessons designed to test their relationships on every level. From sex and temptation to money and communication, each episode’s lesson coincides with issues that make-or-break every relationship. At the end, each couple will be forced to take a long, hard look at their relationship in crisis. With Steve and JoAnn’s guidance, they will determine if they’re finally ready to take a big leap and get married or call it quits and move on. VH1 Tough Love Couples premieres on VH1 Monday, April 12 at 9:00 PM.
And so, we come to the end of our VH1 Tough Love blog commentary with Master Matchmaker Steve Ward (at least, we’ve come to an end until Tough Love Couples starts!). Below, he gives a rundown on the progress of each of the nine women who participated in the show this season, with further insight on where they are now and his feelings on this season as a whole.
VH1 Tough Love 2 is over, and nearly all of the women gave their promise rings away to their new matches during the finale.

You saw the nine women of VH1 Tough Love 2 talk about their past and progress on tonight’s finale, but where are they now? We actually have some idea of this, thanks to the Tough Love 2 producers following up with the girls to find out what’s going on with their love lives as a result of the show. On these updates written by the ladies themselves, High Noon says: “Several months after being in Tough Love boot camp, most of the women have developed strong relationships thanks to Steve and JoAnn. The interesting thing is that most of these…are with new men they met after they returned home.” Updates on all nine women are below!

After watching and rooting for the ladies of VH1 Tough Love 2 all season, we’ll finally learn who received a promise ring, and who went home heartbroken. As this preview from the finale (premiering Sunday at 9/8c) shows, the ladies are waiting until the last minute to make up their minds. And really, the decisions aren’t entirely up to them — their partners will have to accept their promise rings and the commitment they symbolize. Taylor’s guy Willy seems up to the challenge — he tells Taylor he loves her, and she finally opens up about her past. After leaving Angel hanging last week, Adam reciprocates her love. On the other side, Liz still doesn’t know whether Dave should get her promise ring after their argument last week. Find out Sunday whether he and Liz–and the other eight new relationships on VH1 Tough Love–get a happy ending.

We’re on the second to last episode of VH1 Tough Love 2. There were a few breakthroughs this week: Jenna and Angel let go of their pasts. Rocky embraced her future. And all of the women learned about what to expect from a real relationship, one based on honesty and acceptance. All this and a heaping portion of blah blah blah.
