We’ve spent the past few weeks preparing for the end of the year by gathering some best-of lists from all of our favorite VH1 stars. We’ll be rolling out their answers each day, and we love seeing what good taste everyone has. Today’s topic: The Best Song Of 2011. If we conclude anything from this list, it’s that everyone loves Adele, Beyonce, and Rihanna.

This week on Why Am I Still Single?!, Siggy Flicker had two clients that proved quite a challenge: Mike, a comedian that wasn’t all that funny who couldn’t be sincere to save his life, and Lucia, the Brazilian Sofia Vergara who placed a huge emphasis on her partner’s looks and used her breasts to get attention. While they definitely overcame some of their shortcomings during their lessons with Siggy (thankfully Siggy pointed out Mike’s overuse of the word “delightful”), they were both a handful. We’re curious to know which dater’s flaws would be the bigger dealbreaker in real life: a comedian with an inability to turn his act off, or looks-obsessed and slightly insecure type? VH1 will be broadcasting Divas Celebrates Soul on Monday, December 19th at 9 p.m. ET/PT and the lineup of performers is astonishing. While our friends over at TheFabLife have tons of amazing red carpet photos of all the performers, and our other friends at Tuner have some fantastic behind the scenes gossip and rehearsal photos, of course we’re fixated on who else from the shows we watch got a little step and repeat workout. The answer? Everyone we love! Check out the entire cast of Mob Wives, La La Anthony, Emily Bustamante and more in our gallery from the show’s red carpet. Personally, we’re just as excited by these VIPs who saw the show as we are about the performers.
This coming Sunday on Why Am I Still Single?!, one of the clients that Siggy needs to work on is a busty Brazilian bombshell names Lucia. Lucia is looking for, in her words, a “blond, beautiful guy, six foot four, drop dead gorgeous, and I can care less if they have a brain or not.” Sounds superficial, sure, but it’s Lucia’s delivery that makes this obsession with looks less alarming and more adorable. She is basically a Portuguese-speaking Sofia Vergara who giggles and jiggles her way through the episode. When she meets her date, Mike, and finds out he’s a comic, her response is the best: “Oh my goodness you are comedian? Owwesome! On the outside, Flavor Flav, New York, and Bret Michaels may not have anything in common with Steve Ward and Siggy Flicker. But anyone familiar with VH1 programming or who has a passion for dating and relationship shows knows better. Everyone we just mentioned is a member of the VH1 family and has been a part of the slow but steady evolution of the dating shows that have become a guilty pleasure and a fixture in most of our homes. Over at one of our favorite culture sites, Grantland, they have a great article on the history of such dating shows and it’s a fascinating look at how and why the model has changed from celebrities choosing from a field of competitors to find a match to “real people in need seeking love.” Obviously both genres have their fans, but we’re curious to see what you guys, the fans the shows are directed toward, think. From Flavor Flav to Siggy Flicker: A Comprehensive History of the Late-Period American Dating Show [Grantland]

We love it when VH1 casts collide, and today, we’ve got a great photo of some of our favorite on-air talent getting friendly. Why Am I Still Single?! star Siggy Flicker and two of the Mob Wives, Renee Graziano and Drita D’Avanzo were hanging out today on the set of Dr. Phil, where they all taped an upcoming episode, and excuse me for gushing, but these women all look gorgeous. Siggy tweeted this pic, writing “My favorite Wives. The Mob Wives. Love Renee and Drita. So gorgeous and fun.” Siggy also sent her love picker Chynna Soul a tweet, writing “@ChynnaSoul – just hung out with Drita and she sends her love. She is stunning and so down to earth.” Chynna and Drita, it turns out, are friends from way back. Gotta love this VH1 family!

Siggy, her twin stylists Jenn and Jamie, and her love pickers, Hayley, Chynna, and Victor, will be giving us a weekly look at their clients and they issues they’re up against. We’ve seen Why Am I Still Single?! and the kooky daters the show features appear on The Soup a few times, but the show has been catching on so much that now even Chelsea Handler is talking about it. On Chelsea Lately this week, Handler addressed Alexis, the chicken loving (or should we say chicken-obsessed) woman who was paired up with James the Rocker on the most recent episode.
